About Me

Welcome! I am Dr. Meysam Motaharfar, a doctoral researcher in theoretical cosmology and quantum gravity at Louisiana State University.

I was born in Qom, Iran, into a religious family, but my curiosity about the universe soon led me beyond religious explanations. Seeking deeper answers, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Physics at Semnan University, where I discovered my passion for cosmology. This realization guided me to Shahid Beheshti University for a master’s degree in cosmology and ultimately to Louisiana State University, where I am now exploring the fundamental questions about the early universe.

My research focuses on the earliest moments of the cosmos, where classical physics breaks down, demanding a quantum theory of gravity. I investigate how such theories can address primordial cosmological puzzles, including the universe’s initial conditions, the formation of large-scale structures, and the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy.

Alongside my research, I became increasingly fascinated by data science and AI, recognizing their power to solve complex problems across various domains. Through self-study and hands-on projects, I developed expertise in Python, Machine Learning algorithms, Deep Learning architectures, and data visualization techniques. Now, I am eager to transition into a data scientist role, where I can apply my quantitative and computational expertise to develop data-driven solutions in industry.
